JOB SUMMARY:
The Inventory Supply Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of inventory controls and procedures to help achieve accurate inventory information/levels. This is accomplished through ongoing analysis of inventory transactions to identify problems, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement in cycle count and location accuracies. Position will support Wet Wipe Manufacturing and Logistics by conducting daily inventory accuracy levels, monitoring inventory reports, addressing inventory issues and discrepancies, and communicating issues as they occur. A key element of this role is working directly with manufacturing and logistics teams to investigate inventory issues and provide the assistance and training necessary to minimize ongoing or future concerns. Includes training on current inventory process programs, inventory reports, and applications required to monitor and address inventory concerns.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Reconcile Inventory Issues:
- Line activity and inaccuracies in the JDE system
- Verification of each line's work orders (understanding of Workbench activity and BOM needs)
- Close interaction with Supply Chain Team when issues occur (accurate information)
- Verification of material areas to determine quantities on hand that they match supply and demand
- Address any large adjustment and investigate if accurate and needed
- Report back to the line (TL and AL) on mistakes and issues discovered for accountability
- Train on changes or issues with improper practices when it comes to line inventory activity
- Handle inventory requests from the production floor and be a resource to the teams on data mining
- Troubleshoot / assist with cycle counting tasks
- Line Inventory Sheets and Updates:
- Ensure each line has a customized inventory sheet and handle all updates and control
- Train out the Team Leads and Backup Team Leads accordingly
- Collect and manage that the sheets are being completed and done correctly (no mistakes in WC/IA)
- Weekly and Monthly reporting on finds and completion by shift
- Work with Data Analyst on updates and changes for accuracy
- Scrap Initiative:
- Assist in tracking and identifying issues with high scrap counts on lines (substrates mainly)
- Investigation into BOL and receipts to see if quantities are received in correctly and handled through the process - mainly around substrates
- Tracking of substrates showing a high scrap factor when converted - identify the process from incoming material through consumption
- Assist Data Analyst with ensuring quantities are being pulled correctly with completions
- Assist Data Analyst with Transfer and Re-classing focus - ensure scans are occurring and correct
- Tracking of damaged substrate from handling
- Raw Material Disruption Team (Wet Wipes)
- Facilitator of the raw material disruption team
- Assist in investigation and handling of action items
- Assist in recording information into JDE and aligning resources for correction
- Best Practice Sharing - alignment with Logistics Resource Leaders to address ongoing concerns and needs
- Project work as seen fit from the root cause investigations

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- At least one year of machine operation experience in a manufacturing setting or logistics forklift experience
- Proficiency with PCs: Microsoft Office family of products (experience with Excel and pivot tables preferred), JD Edwards, and DSI scanning
- Forklift experience preferred
