Focus: The Production Manager is responsible for managing all production activities, assuring operational safety and compliance of the facility, throughout plant operations.
Essential Functions:
Direct administrative supervision of Area Manufacturing Leaders, Plant Optimization Leader, Activity Coordinator/Gatekeeper and an Administrative Specialist. This includes regularly assessing, evaluating, and coaching direct reports on their performance versus expectations, goals and competencies.
Provide decision making and guidance to production engineers, manufacturing leaders, technical advisors and operators for the brine, electrolysis, chlorine liquefaction, site utilities and site shipping & logistics areas of the facility.
Supports implementation and continued use of Olin's operating discipline for the daily, safe production in the facility while controlling cost to achieve targeted asset utilization.
Facilitates the implementation of safety, quality, environmental, productivity, or cost control programs into the operational organization. Prioritizes the allocation of resources, focus, coaching and assures accountability at all levels in these activities.
Primary reviewer and approver for Management of Change (MOC) and Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) systems related to operations, and operational compliance with Olin's Internal and External manufacturing design specifications and standards.
Establishes operational staffing and training strategies for safe and efficient continued operations, turnaround and project activities as well as plant operating forecasts.
Member of the site's Crisis Management Team supporting HAZWOPER Emergency Response plans, team development and utilization.
Objective owner for all operational goals, such as asset utilization and cost of manufacturing related goals. Provide technology-based leadership for the development and execution of plant specific goals and action plans with various work teams in the implementation of the business strategy and goals.
Acts as primary contact with production planning personnel, supply chain, and commercial. Relays production decisions to other operations personnel.
