What to Expect

We are looking for a highly motivated and "hands-on" individual to join our Electrical Assembly Team for the assembly of a new generation of high speed, automated manufacturing equipment. The role includes performing electrical panel wiring, field wiring, pneumatic plumbing, troubleshooting and machine integration of industrial automated equipment and some travel for machine installation and commissioning support. Employees must provide their own basic set of hand tools.

Shift:07:00AM - 03:30PM; Monday - Friday.Overtime will be available depending on the needs of the business.


What You'll Do
  • Build and wire panels from scratch reading electrical schematics
  • Understand schematic symbols in either JIC or ISO types (AutoCad Electrical or Eplan schematics)
  • Field wiring and pneumatic plumbing of industrial automation equipment. To include fabricating mounting brackets and fabricate, assemble, and mount NEMA type cable trough to cleanly wire machines
  • Install equipment at other Teslalocations (up to 40% of the time)
  • Interface with project team (i.e. Controls Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Assemblers, Project Manager, etc.)
  • Perform system checkout and assist in automation systems startups for service installed jobs
  • Other duties may be assigned to support the needs of the business

What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of experience wiring automated equipment, preferably in a machine-building or OEM department; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Ability to read/understand electrical schematics and create redlines
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and electrical testing equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues, report, repair and/or correct the issues with minimal supervision
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at other Tesla locations
  • Must be a self-starter, team player, work well with others, and have a positive attitude
  • Must have ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
