Description

    Installing, configuring, and testing telecommunications systems and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and alignment with project requirements
  • Conducting routine diagnostics and preventive maintenance on telecommunications hardware and network infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting and resolving service interruptions, identifying hardware faults and correcting configurations as needed
  • Preparing detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance procedures for compliance and operational records
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to implement upgrades or modifications to telecommunications systems and networks

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a telecommunications mechanic role
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and technical specifications
  • Proficient in interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for configuring telecommunications networks and associated hardware components
  • Skilled in troubleshooting connectivity issues and performing routine diagnostics using specialized tools such as network analyzers and signal testers
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance


Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with advanced telecommunications technologies, including VoIP systems and fiber-optic networks
  • Proficiency in using telecommunications management platforms and software for monitoring and optimizing system performance
  • Demonstrated experience working with secure communications protocols and equipment
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of telecommunications systems

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
