Description

    Developing and producing detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software, ensuring adherence to project requirements and quality standards
  • Reviewing and revising existing CAD designs based on engineering feedback and updated specifications to support iterative improvements
  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams to interpret design concepts and translate them into accurate, production-ready drafts
  • Maintaining and updating documentation of design revisions and technical changes to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual standards
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting during the drafting process, ensuring timely resolution of any design discrepancies

Requirements

  • Eight plus years experience in a drafter / cad operator role
  • Two years specialized vocational training or an associate's degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to produce accurate, detailed CAD drafts in compliance with DoD requirements
  • Proficient in using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and drafting tools to generate and modify technical schematics according to project specifications
  • Skilled in revising existing drawings to incorporate design changes and quality feedback while maintaining compliance with contract guidelines
  • Possess an active DoD secret security clearance


Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with advanced 3D modeling and simulation tools to enhance design visualization and verification processes
  • Experience with document control software and product lifecycle management systems to streamline drafting processes and revisions
  • Proven ability to mentor and collaborate with junior drafters, fostering continuous process improvement
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to quickly resolve drafting issues and optimize design workflows

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
