Material handler

Position Summary:

• Material Handlers move a variety of materials throughout the plant from production areas, in and out of trailers, and out of hot rooms up to 110 degrees F. Material Handlers are responsible for excellent accuracy in Shipping/Receiving documentation, safety, conducting quality checks, assisting with troubleshooting customer complaints, and inventory issues. They occasionally provide operational relief for breaks, general housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.

Shift: Afternoon

Pay rate: $19.00/hr (Plus $1.00 Shift Premium)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of forklifts to move all manner of production material throughout the plant.
• Must maintain accurate documentation.
• Work within a team environment.

Education:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated forklift driving experience (sit-down, propane, electrical); 3+ years preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Routinely sits for long periods over 8-hour shift.
• Climbs on and off forklifts, stands, reaches, pushes and pulls materials.
• Will frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and routinely lift up to 55 lbs.
• Must be able to routinely work in a "hot room" (up to 110 degrees F at times).
