What will you do as a Director, Strategic CPG Packaging Innovations & Digital Solutions?

The Director, Strategic CPG Packaging Innovations & Digital Solutions is a senior, customer-facing leadership role responsible for driving strategic growth and innovation with large, global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) customers.


This role focuses on developing and securing new business by introducing transformational packaging solutions, including digital print, smart/connected packaging, and sustainable material innovations. The Director partners closely with global CPG leaders to solve complex challenges related to brand engagement, supply chain agility, and sustainability, while leading long, consultative, and highly technical sales cycles.


This position acts as the bridge between customers and Sealed Air's internal teams-R&D, Sustainability, Operations, and Engineering-to bring first-to-market packaging innovations from concept to scale.

  • Identify, develop, and win high-value strategic growth opportunities with global CPG customers.



  • Lead complex, multi-year sales cycles focused on innovation, not commodity packaging.



  • Build and execute long-term account strategies aligned with customers' sustainability, marketing, and e-commerce goals.



  • Quantify and communicate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and long-term value propositions.




Innovation & Digital Packaging Leadership


  • Drive the commercialization of digital print and smart packaging solutions (QR codes, unique IDs, connected packaging).



  • Enable packaging solutions that support regionalization, consumer engagement, data collection, and supply chain transparency.



  • Translate emerging market trends (circular economy, material transitions, digitalization) into customer-ready solutions.




Cross-Functional & Customer Leadership


  • Serve as the "Innovation Quarterback," coordinating cross-functional teams to prototype, validate, and scale solutions.



  • Act as the Voice of the Customer, ensuring customer needs shape Sealed Air's innovation and product roadmaps.



  • Influence senior stakeholders across Marketing, Sustainability, Procurement, and Supply Chain organizations.



  • Support change management efforts as customers adopt new materials, processes, and digital workflows.



What do you need to succeed?


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Packaging, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).



  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience selling technical, innovative, or capital-intensive solutions to global CPG customers.



  • Proven success managing long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.



  • Strong understanding of packaging's role across the CPG value chain-from consumer experience to logistics and end-of-life.



  • Experience with digital print, flexible packaging materials, barrier technologies, and sustainability concepts preferred.



  • Exceptional consultative selling, strategic thinking, and executive-level communication skills.



  • Ability to lead change and influence customer organizations through innovation adoption.



  • Willingness to travel regionally and globally (up to 50%).
