Job Summary:

The Senior SharePoint & Teams Architect is the enterprise technical authority for Microsoft 365 collaboration, with deep expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Power Platform. This role leads strategy, architecture, and large-scale delivery, ensuring secure, scalable, and well-governed collaboration platforms aligned to business and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Own the end-to-end architecture and roadmap for SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams, defining target state, standards, and reference architecture across the enterprise.
  • Lead large, complex transformation and migration programs (on-prem SharePoint, file shares, legacy collaboration tools to Microsoft 365), including coexistence strategies and risk management.
  • Define and enforce enterprise governance for SharePoint and Teams (provisioning, naming, lifecycle, external collaboration, retention, and DLP), partnering closely with Security, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Architect and review complex solutions and integrations (lineofbusiness systems, Power Platform, Viva, telephony/voice) to ensure performance, resiliency, and adherence to best practices.
  • Act as senior technical escalation point for critical incidents, performance issues, and major design decisions affecting SharePoint, Teams, and related Microsoft 365 services.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT leaders, translating strategic objectives into actionable collaboration and digital workplace solutions.
  • Drive adoption and change management by shaping enablement programs, champion networks, and executive communication around new collaboration capabilities.
  • Mentor engineers and admins; lead design reviews, establish best practices, and build reusable frameworks, templates, and accelerators.

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:



  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Professional Certifications, or applicable certifications required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience with SharePoint (including significant SharePoint Online) and Microsoft Teams, with a proven history of leading enterprise deployments.
  • Demonstrated experience owning architecture and roadmaps for Microsoft 365 collaboration (SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online).
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance, security, and compliance (Entra ID, Conditional Access, Purview, DLP, retention, eDiscovery).
  • Strong expertise with automation and integration (PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Power Platform) to implement governance controls and custom solutions.
  • Proven ability to present and defend architectural decisions to senior technical and business stakeholders, including C-level audiences.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:



  • Ability to move throughout a multi-floor, connected office complex as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, twist, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent repetitive motion using a computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Close visual acuity is required for working at a computer and reading documents.
  • No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Travel to Supernus HQ as needed for meetings, projects, and other business activities.


Compensation:

At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $160,000 to $190,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.

You also will be able to participate in a competitive benefits package, including but not limited to: health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401k company match, company paid life insurance and health and wellness benefits. The total compensation package for this position also includes other compensation elements such as stock equity awards, employee stock purchase programs and participation in our Company's discretionary annual bonus program.
