Overview
This position is in support of the Strategic Partnership program, based out of Jacksonville, FL. Electric Boat is looking for a Program Representative to be part of the BAE Site Team located in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is in support of Virginia and Columbia construction processes. The candidate will report to the onsite Manager and act as an onsite liaison at the supplier. This is a high visibility position that will require interaction with all levels of customer, supplier and EB management. It requires the ability to collaborate with nearly all Electric Boat departments, requires strong oral and written communication skills and the promotion of Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Continuous Improvement. The Program Representative position will also be responsible for interacting with Overhaul and Repair Program Office, Strategic Sourcing Program Office, Quonset Point and Groton personnel on strategic planning, scheduling, IT coordination, labor charging oversight and data mining in support of Program Office objectives. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
This position will support the Overhaul and Repair Program Office and Strategic Sourcing Program Office by producing presentations to aid in the Breakfast Club, QPPC, CRR, and other programmatic briefs with the customer
- The selected candidate will be required to present key information to various stakeholders in order to status the progress of construction and represent EB in a professional manner
- Conduct weekly status meetings to ensure vendor is supporting all aspects of production and the needs of the program
- The ability to produce organized agendas, status goals, and drive tasks to completion
- Various tasks accomplished through data mining to produce charts, graphs, tables, and other formatted information to be presented
- Must possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as requirements of assigned tasks evolve.
- Monitor Focus Factory vendor project status and issues
- Lead and assist with internal fact finders and critiques, implement process improvements, create and maintain program metrics and task management/oversight.
- Manage Record Maintenance
- Coordinate with local team (embedded supplier personnel) and other associated EB departments to facilitate additional services that may be required.
- Coordinate with supplier to meet necessary facility entry requirements, badging, parking, etc
- Ensure EB team promotes and adheres to the importance of a strong security posture with embedded supplier Must diligently manage any sensitive data and explain how it is to be controlled.
- Gain the trust and collaboration of the supplier management and embedded personnel. Must assess and make recommendations for employee development and continually promote proficiency/efficiency in all tasks.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with peers and
- Position will be permanently located in Florida supporting Focus Factory (work to EB paper) programs at EB supplier facilities.
- Employee may be required to work other than normal hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or Shift work and emergence overtime may be required
- Must be able to travel if required. Expected business and EWA travel to other vendor and EB facilities in support of the Program
- Relation Package will be offered for this position if required
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma/ GED required
- 3+ years program/project management experience. This is not an entry level position
- Must be available to work all shifts and extended hours as business needs dictate Must be able to travel, as required
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher
Preferred:
- College degree
- Experience in multi-trade disciplines (pipe, electrical, structural, mechanical)
- Past experience in working in Naval Shipyard environment
- EVMS knowledge
- Proficient in ATA, Lotus Notes, Business Objects, Cornerstone and PQS.
Skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Proficient in blueprint and drawing interpretation
- Experience conducting meetings both in person and virtually
- Experienced in presentation skills and knowledge of current Focus Factory initiatives
- Experience with Drawings, MRP, EWP, ERS, ERs, NDT, Following Processes or Procedures
- Computer skills including advanced Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
- Creating presentations through data management interpretation and analysis for Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
