Category Management Specialist - Target Team, Minnesota

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Position will provide analytical support to the Category Management Team to support day-to-day tasks linked to the category captain function for the Arts & Crafts category. The Category Manager Specialist will be responsible for development of POG (including inline & endcap support), general POS reporting tools using Vendor Portals and ad-hoc analysis as required by the business. Primary focus is on planogram drawing and planogram transition logistics working with customer planogram teams and category merchants.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manage the development and drawing of POGs multiple versions of planograms based on pre-established assortment and aligned within the Customers planogram process*
  • Provide consistent and ad-hoc POG and product analyses to measure productivity*
  • Assist the Insights Lead in the day-to-day operations of the category management function.
  • Maintain Space Planning Product database through management of the Blue Yonder/ProSpace service
  • Assist in the development of analytical reporting tools and resources to be used by customers merchandising and inventory teams to measure and track category performance across all formats (Brick n Mortar, Ecomm,) leveraging customer portal.
  • Actively develop tactical recommendations based on analytical insights to achieve category and Crayola business objectives
  • Tactical Management of Planogram Room (customer & Crayola) & coalition on samples


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:



  • BA or BS in business studies is required
  • Minimum 2 year working with Target in category management, CPG sales, sales analysis or merchant function required
  • Ability to develop analytical processes and tracking methods
  • POG management experience - Blue Yonder/ProSpace
  • Ability to understand and maneuver between customer information sources/systems and Crayola systems
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data and analysis simultaneously
  • High analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with people at all levels
  • Demonstrated command of the following software applications: Word, Excel (Advanced), Power Point, POL, DOMO, syndicated data systems (IRI or Neilsen), Blue Yonder/ProSpace (including analytical tool)
  • Demonstrated success in building trust with a customer


PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:



  • Position will be based in the Corporate B&S office or region sales office
  • General office equipment uses (PC, copier, fax, phone)
  • Some business travel to company, team, and customer account meetings (10-15%)
