Job Description The Note Processing Assistant supports the Note Department Supervisor and Manager in the daily operations of the note processing workflow. This role ensures all procedures are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with warehouse bank and custodian requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Receive, open, and sort incoming USPS, UPS, and FedEx mail addressed to the Final Docs - Notes team. * Create and label manila folders for daily incoming notes, including loan numbers, borrower last names, and warehouse bank codes. * Identify and report any issues or discrepancies with original notes to the Note Team Supervisor. * Distinguish accurately between 1st lien and 2nd lien notes. * Prepare warehouse bank packages in accordance with specific warehouse guidelines. * Assemble and prepare daily FedEx shipments of notes to designated warehouse banks. * Sort and file notes based on warehouse shipping requirements. * Review and audit received notes that have not yet funded. * Perform related administrative tasks as assigned. Skills & Qualifications * Experience with mail processing, document handling, and data preparation/analysis. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software. * Ability to use email applications, word processing tools, desktop equipment, photocopiers, tenkey calculators, and electric typewriters. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. * Ability to work efficiently under deadline pressure and manage multiple tasks. * Ability to understand and interpret federal, state, investor, and regulatory documentation. * Effective communication across multiple channels, including in person, phone, and email. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
