Job Title: Director of Community Clinical Site Development Department: Academic Affairs, School of Medicine College/Division: School Of Medicine Primary Job Posting Location: Macon, GA 31207 Additional Job Posting Locations: (Other locations that this position could be based) Job Details: Mercer University School of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified Director of Community Clinical Site Development on the Macon, GA campus. Responsibilities: During their clinical training, Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM) MD students participate in clinical experiences at affiliate community clinical sites including hospitals, clinics, and physician offices throughout the State of Georgia. Under the direction of the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and in collaboration with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for Clinical Curriculum and the deans of Faculty Affairs, the Director of Community Clinical Site Development directs implementation of the ongoing clinical site development plan to ensure sufficient access to community-based clinical sites to meet the curricular needs of the MD Program. This position recruits and develops new clinical sites and maintains existing clinical sites for the MD Program clinical rotations; oversees the design and implementation of clinical preceptor engagement, development, and training strategies; provides education on the GA Preceptor Tax Incentive Program to clinical preceptors; supervises a team of preceptorship coordinators and the MUSM coordinator for the GA Preceptor Tax Incentive Program (PTIP). Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Adult Education, Human Resources, Communications or related field and 5 years of prior experience working in an administrative role with physicians, preferably in an academic setting, OR a master's degree and 2 years of the same above described experience are required. Additionally, candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier. TRAVEL REQUIRED: 50-60% Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
