GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate. Henry Ford Medical Center - E. Jefferson in St. Clair Shores offers family medicine for adults and children. There are convenient on-site X-ray and pharmacy services. The facility is on E. Jefferson between Stephens and Ten Mile Road, south of I-696. Family Medicine Family medicine doctors are your one-stop provider for health care. The practice of family medicine is different from internal medicine and pediatrics in that family medicine doctors are trained to care for people of all ages. Many people see their family medicine doctors for their entire lives. When you have a specific health issue, your family medicine doctor helps connect you to the right specialist. They manage your care before, during, and after any specialty appointment to make sure you get the care you need. Henry Ford Health has hundreds of family medicine doctors with offices across southeast and south-central Michigan. Doctors who practice family medicine provide a wide range of services for you and your whole family. Family medicine doctors have additional training in such specialty areas as obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, dermatology, behavioral medicine and pediatrics. Although, some Henry Ford family medicine doctors do not see pediatric patients younger than 5 years. Location: Henry Ford Medical Center - East Jefferson 24725 Jefferson Ave., St Clair Shores, MI 48080 Hours: 24 hrs./wk. - no weekends or holidays 3 - 8 hours shifts per week position with a pattern of working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30AM-5PM to cover the clinic. The 3rd week of the month will be Monday & Friday 8:30AM-5PM, and Thursday 8AM-430PM (since there is an all staff meeting at 8AM on the Thursday). This part time RN must also be flexible/willing to pick up the other 2 days in the week to cover the clinic, when the other RN is on a vacation or when our contingent RN cannot pick up vacation coverage. Benefits: Part-Time. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the Family Medicine. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. Prefer EPIC Experience Prefer Ambulatory/clinic experience Ability to triage, answer patient in-basket messages (including telephone calls and advice). Ability to work in a team environment. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).OCN). Additional Information
