Zayo is seeking a Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting & Consolidations to be responsible for preparing select month-end entries, financial statements and other monthly reporting packages including but not limited to financial statements and related notes to the financial statements.

Our Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting & Consolidations also assists with technical accounting research, the interpretation and application of new accounting standards, and complex accounting projects, including purchase accounting, pensions, equity-based compensation and other comprehensive income.

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting and will interact closely with various departments across Zayo, including Accounting, Investor Relations, Finance, Tax, Sales, Operations and IT.

Our Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting & Consolidations will also be responsible for assessing internal stakeholder reporting asks and developing solutions to meet the needs of the business.

*We're open to this position working in a hybrid capacity out of our Denver headquarters (1401 Wynkoop).

More About What You'll Get To Do:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, notes and MD&A, including a detail tie out of the financial statements and underlying support for multiple Zayo legal entities

  • Serve as subject matter expert in financial reporting and consolidations

  • Prepare month-end close entries and reconciliations for select processes including intangibles, debt and OCI, equity-based compensation, consolidation and elimination entries, and intercompany debt

  • Prepare monthly consolidated and segment-level cash flow statements

  • Assist with the external audit process, which may include preparing audit support and coordinating auditor requests

  • Recommend solutions to complex accounting projects, including valuation and accounting for business combinations, debt and equity instruments, pensions, consolidations and other non-routine accounting transactions

  • Interpret new accounting standards and develops our compliance approach including designing new processes and outlining new system requirements

  • Design and implement new internal reporting as needed and through partnership with Zayo Finance and Zayo's IT teams

  • Assist in developing, documenting and educating others on Zayo's accounting policies for critical areas, such as revenue recognition, lease accounting and capitalization

  • Regularly interact with various functional teams, including general ledger, legal, investor relations, and treasury, providing guidance and answering questions, as needed

  • Participate in and lead other projects as necessary

    What You'll Need:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related field

    • Minimum of four (4) years of related experience working at a national Public Accounting firm, public company or large private company with substantial reporting obligations

    • Actively licensed CPA or working toward licensure, preferred

    • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting and filing requirements

    • Ability to research and analyze various complex accounting and financial reporting issues

    • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise judgment in a fast paced and changing environment

    • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions

    • Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to work effectively across the Company's various business segments and locations

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    • Knowledge of Oracle, OneStream, Toppan Merrill Bridge, or Salesforce, a plus

    • Experience in the telecommunications industry, a plus

    Estimated base salary range: $95,100 - $146,300 USD/annually

    The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

    Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
