Job Summary:

The Senior Product Manager will help define new product opportunities for wearables and monitoring solutions and lead the transformation of newly approved product opportunities/concepts through the development process to regulatory submission and commercialization. The position will represent Global Marketing in cross-functional core teams and work alongside the global marketing team and commercial commercial teams.

To excel in this position and advance in the company, the Senior Product Manager must develop close, productive relationships with the fellow marketing team members, regulatory, clinical, the field organization, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other clinicians/customers.

As this is a global role, with stakeholders in the US, Europe, Canada, JPAC, Latin America and Middle East and Africa, a willingness to be flexible with hours is a requirement.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Lead the development of customer needs and user requirements for key products
  • Partner with global commercial teams to understand market dynamics, product acceptance and continually monitor customer needs
  • Lead the development of recommendations for technical product direction, including design trade-offs to ensure voice of the customer (VOC) throughout the product development process
  • Partner with clinical and regulatory to ensure market and customer needs are reflected in clinical and regulatory strategies
  • Develop business and marketing plans including pricing strategies, development of product positioning and messaging and commercialization plans in close collaboration with the Global Marketing team members and the commercial team.
  • Develop competitive analysis and communicate competitive product introductions, positioning, pricing strategies, and field tactics as it relates to our portfolio and pipeline to help inform strategic direction
  • Stay well informed regarding product issues in the field to help determine needs for product changes or enhancements
  • Manage product phase-in, phase-out and be responsible for supporting the global S&OP process


Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • An accomplished marketing professional with 5+ years of experience in the medical device industry that includes robust upstream marketing experience.
  • Experience in both hardware and software product development highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in leading new product introductions, including product opportunity assessments through to launch planning and execution, preferably into a high-growth and highly competitive markets
  • Global experience preferred.
  • Downstream medical device product marketing and commercial launch experience
  • Deep functional marketing experience and skills: development and execution of strategic marketing plans, launch plans, communication plans, opportunity assessments/business cases, pricing strategy, customer segmentation, positioning strategy
  • Strong influence management skills-effectively influences a wide variety geographies/cultures including Europe, Asia Pacific, Japan, Australia and Canada and functions including regulatory, sales, marketing, research, manufacturing and other cross functional partners. Uses conflict resolution skills to achieve results through cross functional groups.
  • Excellent communication skills-has frequent contact with key opinion leaders and broad customer contact as well as interfaces with senior-level management from cross functional groups and geographies to facilitate product related decisions. Ability to communicate franchise dynamics through business presentations to senior management.
  • Strong team player-ability to work as a key member of the global marketing team who is accountable to global marketing team as well as the product division and geographical marketing
  • Strong leadership skills-ability to function as the marketing "lead" on the product and pipeline development
  • Project management skills-ability to manage complex projects and programs. Ability to pull the appropriate level, functional and geographic functions together to support initiatives.
  • Analytical skills-ability to develop therapy and disease models, market
  • Able to travel up to 30% of the time


Education:



  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, science or health-related field
  • MBA preferred


Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $157,000 - $185,000 plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some travel is necessary.
