Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Planning and Purchasing Manager to oversee the end-to-end material lifecycle at our manufacturing site. You will be responsible for ensuring non-stop production through meticulous demand planning, proactive sourcing, and high-level stakeholder collaboration. This role combines operational excellence with people leadership, requiring a candidate who can navigate complex global supply chains while fostering a high-performing local team.

This Job Is For You If
  • You can be responsible for planning, timely ordering and On-Time delivery of materials and spare parts, to ensure non-stop operation of the manufacturing site.
  • You can lead all escalations related to any confirmation or delivery issues.
  • You can source and manage domestic service contracts, from commercial negotiations to service quality assurance and supplier relationships.
  • You can manage and developing a small team of buyers and materials planners.
  • You can cooperate with the strategic global procurement team, to represent the site's requirements and ensure execution of corporate rules.
  • You can represent the Supply Chain department towards all internal stakeholders and functions such as process and equipment engineering groups, facility department, R&D, business units, IT, finance.
  • You can constantly improve effectiveness of the organization by streamlining processes and eliminating nonvalue adding activities. Improving existing and developing new IT supporting systems and applications.
  • You can lead and manage demand planning, supply planning, and purchasing activities to support semiconductor manufacturing and customer requirements.
  • You can develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term material plans considering capacity constraints, lead times, and yield variability.
  • You can manage procurement of raw materials, components, and services critical to semiconductor production.
  • You can collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales to align supply plans with business objectives.
  • You can establish and monitor KPIs related to inventory levels, material availability, cost, supplier performance, and on-time delivery.
  • You can ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and trade compliance requirements.
  • You can lead, coach, and develop planning and purchasing teams to build strong organizational capabilities.
  • You can utilize ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, advanced planning tools) to support data-driven decision-making.
Job Requirements
  • BS degree (Supply Chain, Engineering or equal) required, MBA preferred.
  • 3 years of experience managing planning and purchasing.
  • SAP experience required.
  • Significant experience in managing material purchasing and service contracts.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and commercial negotiations.
  • Solid understanding and experience in managing domestic and international logistics.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to process high volume of complex data.
  • Strong Microsoft Office capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor supply chain operations, including long lead-time materials and capacity-driven planning.
  • Expertise in demand planning, MRP, supply planning, and procurement processes.
  • Advanced experience with ERP systems (SAP MM preferred) and planning tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
  • Understanding of inventory management strategies (safety stock, buffer management, risk mitigation).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in fast-paced and high-risk environments.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to present complex supply chain topics to senior management.
  • Financial acumen related to cost control, budgeting, and working capital management.
