What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a Sr. Product Manager for our Vision Automation Platform. This platform is used to build and deploy computer vision solutions across Tesla's manufacturing and logistics operations. These vision solutions are used for quality control, logistics tracking, defect detection, safety monitoring, etc.

In this role, you will manage the product vision and roadmap for this platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams involving Product, Engineering, Quality and Logistics teams.


What You'll Do
  • Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to enhance and optimize Tesla's Vision Automation Platform
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Engineering, QA, and Production Support teams to drive the development and continuous improvement of the systems
  • Translate customer and internal team pain points into intuitive, scalable product features
  • Write clear product requirements, prioritize ruthlessly, and partner with engineering and design to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions at speed
  • Use data, experimentation, and feedback loops to continuously refine the platform, improving conversion, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate across global operations to adapt workflows to diverse regulatory and market requirements without sacrificing simplicity

What You'll Bring
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on vision systems
  • Experience developing and implementing computer vision solutions
  • Experience implementing AI solutions and VLM is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to query and interpret data, trends, and algorithms, demonstrating comfort with logic and numbers to support decision-making
  • A proactive mindset, with a bias towards taking action based on available information and the ability to work through ambiguity
  • Success in leading new initiatives, driving results with limited resources and evolving information
  • Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams, balancing multiple competing priorities and fostering alignment among diverse stakeholders. Exceptional communication is a must

    Expected Compensation
    $136,000 - $264,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
