What You'll Do
  • Strategic Planning and Collaboration: Lead the strategic planning and execution of Tesla's nationwide vanpool and bike programs, establish high customer service standards, and collaborate with other transportation program managers supporting carpool, shuttle, parking, and valet services to design innovative, cost-effective commute solutions, ensuring efficient resource utilization, optimized program offerings, and enhanced employee accessibility and satisfaction
  • Vendor and Technology Partnerships: Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party service providers, oversee ongoing vendor performance through KPIs, program audits, and reviews to ensure high-quality service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with Tesla's operational standards, while partnering with internal and external stakeholders to integrate new technologies for program efficiency
  • Partnerships and Compliance: Ensure contractual and IRS tax requirements for transportation benefits are met, maintain accurate databases and records, develop, identify, recommend, and implement policies and procedures, work with internal partners such as HR and Payroll, as well as external vendors, to support program investigations and reporting, conduct internal audits to ensure program participation compliance, and develop performance standards
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Leverage and lead the development of data analytics and real-time tracking tools to monitor performance metrics for vanpool and bike programs, including documenting incident reports, identifying trends, optimizing participation, improving employee experience, and providing actionable insights by developing reports and presentations for senior leadership to support informed decision-making
  • Budget and Resource Management: Oversee budgets for nationwide commute programs, ensure local compliance and accurate reporting, manage costs, and allocate resources effectively to support scalable vanpool and bike services, prioritizing sustainability and cost-efficiency while balancing cost control with quality service delivery to maximize impact, and monitor and meet all deadlines for reconciliation and payroll resolutions for commuter benefit programs
  • Employee Feedback and Engagement: Actively gather and integrate employee feedback on vanpool and bike programs through surveys, direct communication, and marketing initiatives such as events, outreach, print and digital mass communication, and campaigns, ensuring the programs evolve to meet user needs and enhance the overall employee experience

What You'll Bring
  • Education & Experience: Master's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Transportation Operations, or Project Management, or equivalent experience with 8 years in transportation program management or corporate services, including 3-5 years in a senior/leadership role overseeing employee commuting programs
  • Strategic & Leadership Skills: Expertise in strategic planning, execution, and optimization of transportation services, with experience collaborating with senior management for decision-making reports and presentations
  • Contract & Budget Management: Skilled in negotiating contracts with third-party vendors and proficient in budget management and resource allocation for scalable transportation programs
  • Project Management & Adaptability: Strong ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines, while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Marketing & Communication: Capable of executing marketing strategies (digital and print) to promote programs, with excellent communication skills for employee feedback through surveys and outreach
  • Technical & Customer Service Proficiency: Familiar with transportation management software and advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite), paired with a proven record of exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement in cross-functional projects

    Expected Compensation
    $72,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
