The Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters located in St. Louis, MO, is looking for a Temporary Project Accounting Clerk. This position is responsible for account coding and data entry of accounts payable and receipting transactions.

This is a part-time temporary position, up to 25 hours per week with starting pay of $20.00 per hour.

Essential Functions



  • Assist with 1099 vendor files, merging data and amounts
  • Transition vendor information from Shelby to Acumatica
  • Scan W9s into Acumatica
  • Organize and streamline utility payment processing
  • Assist with administrative duties related to setting up online banking for all bank accounts
  • Other data entry as requested
  • Perform administrative support tasks including scanning documentation and preparing checks for mailing


  • Maintain records within established Salvation Army policies and procedures and in a timely manner


  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Safe From Harm Guidelines.
  • Maintains positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with co-workers and supervisors. This would include but not be limited to such actions as:


resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff and visitors; respect of others' property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about co-workers, supervisors, and subordinates.

Minimum Qualifications

High School/GED and some college level courses in accounting/related field with two years accounting/related field work experience. Combination of training and experience will be considered. Proficient in computer use with knowledge and experience in creating and updating spreadsheets, data entry and computerized accounting.

Requires a high level of confidentiality, must be a team player, a self-starter, and perform well with minimum supervision.

Physical and Working Conditions

Must be capable of performing the above essential duties in an office environment to include using a computer, answering phones, etc. Most work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.
