Right of Way Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects.

  • Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team workload throughout the project's development.

  • Manage right-of-way projects of varying sizes, including acquisition and relocation in accordance with the Uniform Act.

  • Develop project policies and procedures, including quality and safety plans; maintain progress reports; update project financials; and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Oversee project staff and provide training as needed.

  • Build client relationships and participate in marketing efforts; attend contractual, design, and production meetings.

  • Participate in reviews with governing agencies for compliance.

  • Conduct scope development and contract document work sessions with staff.

  • Ensure timely completion of documents and coordinate workload throughout project development.

  • Track financial aspects of projects and adjust team efforts to meet schedule and budget parameters.

  • Collaborate with Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller, Department Manager, and company leadership for project reviews.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • TDOT right-of-way experience
  • 6-10 years of experience managing right-of-way projects
  • Experience with acquisition and relocation following the Uniform Act
  • Ability to complete and interpret title reports
  • Tennessee Notary, or ability to obtain
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
