• Exemplifies the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant.
• Work in a professional manner with other mold technicians and maintenance personnel as needed to keep all equipment in top working order resulting in only quality product being released to the customer.
• Set up machines for operation, change material and color to meet production schedules.
• Must have a technical understanding of process and raw materials used.
• Keep supervisor/management informed of all problems.
• Will at times directly supervise / manages others.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints by taking to Supervisor to resolve problems.
  • Cover for the supervisor in his/her absence.
• Startup machines and monitor quality at start up.
• Make appropriate adjustments to machines to maintain efficient production levels and document appropriately.
• Respond to Quality Assurance Techs by adjusting machines to maintain appropriate sizes and standards.
• Oversee proper packaging procedures.
• Review production schedules and ensure machines are running production to meet customer demands.
• Respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance to correct machine malfunctions and/or Operator 1 problems.
• Use proper Lockout/tagout procedures.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Departments concerning machine operations and malfunctions.
• Inspect scrap to prevent any usable product from being ground and record scrap numbers.
• Ability to effectively perform the Operator 1 job to assist with relief breaks.
• Assist with Material Handling as needed.
• Keep the floor stocked with materials required for production (fitments/handles/labels/tape, etc.).
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Responsible for ensuring quality and housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
• Various other duties as assigned.
