Specifically, we are looking for aTS/SCI cleared Task Area Lead - Network Engineer - SME to support this mission at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Responsibilities: As a - Task Lead - Network Engineer - SME, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:
Provides technical and management leadership for all network troubleshooting support functions across the Task Order, establishing overarching goals and strategic plans for optimizing the C2ISR Data Transport Infrastructure systems.
- Directs and controls the strategic design, development, and implementation of advanced technical diagnostic strategies to identify, analyze, and resolve complex network performance issues across global transport systems.
- Possesses expert domain and technical knowledge in advanced network engineering and C2ISR systems, applying this to define and drive the technical roadmap for proactive monitoring and predictive troubleshooting methodologies across satellite communication and network environments.
- Has overall responsibility for establishing and implementing innovative approaches that ensure continuous operational effectiveness and minimal communication disruptions across all network domains.
- Engages in high-level client negotiations and interfaces with senior management regarding the strategic vision, capabilities, and resource allocation for advanced network troubleshooting solutions.
- Utilizes expert domain knowledge and decision-making that has a critical impact on the overall project implementation, ensuring advanced network engineering solutions address emerging communication challenges and mission requirements.
- Directs and controls the methods and staffing for network engineering teams, ensuring delivery of high-impact, scalable, and resilient network solutions that optimize C2ISR performance.
- Provides authoritative guidance on pushing out routing configurations and ensuring seamless coordination with DISA OSC and USSOCOM SATOPS-ISR.
- Establishes and governs the architectural principles, tools, and platforms for all network engineering efforts, critically impacting the reliability, resilience, and operational effectiveness of C2ISR communications.
- Shapes the future direction of C2ISR network troubleshooting for the TO by pioneering new diagnostic techniques, research, and advanced resolution strategies, directly impacting mission success and national security.
- Utilize the following TO Management & Financial Tracking Tools: Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate);; MS Project; Primavera; GFP management modules; WBS tracking systems; ServiceNow; Jira Service Desk;; SharePoint libraries; Confluence; lessons learned databases; video library repositories; Archer GRC; eMASS internal audit portals; Excel/SharePoint audit templates; CMDB with version control; Power BI with R/Python integration; Tableau; predictive analytics engines; Teams;
- Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: Microsoft Word; Excel; SharePoint; Confluence; ServiceNow; Jira; endpoint monitoring tools; Network diagnostic platforms; SolarWinds, packet analyzers, SNMP, and command-line diagnostics, packet capture analysis (e.g., Wireshark) Service Desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy); network diagramming software (Visio, Lucidchart); network modeling and simulation software (OPNET, Riverbed Modeler, MATLAB)
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Task Area Lead/Network Engineer or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level
- 10+ Years applicable experience
- A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
- US citizenship is required
- DOD 8140 Compliance based on functional role for WRC: 441 Network Operations Specialist, Advanced Level / ability to obtain
Desired Qualifications:
- DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.
- Minimum of 12 years' experience with a BS/BA degree or 10 years' experience with a MS/MA or 7 years' experience with a Ph.D.
Work Environment:
- Location:MacDill AFB, FL
- On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
- Travel:May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
