Anticipate Wage: $18.06 - $22.87/hr.

This position is for 3rd Shift: 11pm to 7am.

SUMMARY:

Ensure final product has correct weight of finished goods and free of foreign materials; ensure final cases are properly sealed; perform custodial duties; inspect final product to remove defects and foreign materials; erect boxes and insert liners and bags to meet process needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices.

It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top, Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. The Organization chart indicated key personnel with the authority to take action.

  1. Manually Weigh Finished Products at Filling and/or Weighing Station



  2. Seal and Tape Finished Containers



  3. Remove Foreign Materials from Finished Product Cases



  4. Communicate Effectively

    • Exchange information with operators and coworkers
    • Exchange information with Lab Techs and Supervisor
    • Coordinate with Saucemaker, Lab Techs, and Supervisor to ensure the sauce blend meets customer specifications
    • Train coworkers and temporary employees as required
    • Inform Supervisor and Team Leader of any operational problems
    • Call mechanic when necessary
    • Notify Lab Techs of any foreign material
    • Relieve coworkers for breaks and lunch


  5. Maintain Adequate Production Supply so Line Flow is not Interrupted



  6. Perform Sanitation

    • Clean Drum Room using water hoses and cleaning/sanitizing chemicals
    • Flush product lines
    • Scrub where needed
    • Wash all equipment
    • Disassemble equipment to aid in cleaning
    • Reassemble equipment before startup
    • Communicate clean-up procedures to coworkers
    • Minimize spillage and waste products
    • Practice Lock-out Tag-out procedures in all applicable situations




QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



  • High school diploma preferred. Thirty day position-related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:



  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals such as the MSDS and other technical manuals.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:



  • Must be able to add and subtract three digit numbers


PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:



  • Required during production duties: Hair Net, Bump Cap, Hearing Protection, Rubber Gloves, Sleeve Protectors
  • Required during sanitation duties: Hair Net, Bump Cap, Rubber Gloves, Hearing Protection, Rain/Wet Gear, Safety Glasses, Rubber Boots, Face Shield & goggles (when pouring chemicals)

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read specification sheets, distance vision to monitor equipment, color vision to distinguish good or burned product, peripheral vision to observe entire operation, depth perception to operate forklift, and the ability to adjust focus to check product.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
