POSITION STATUS:Full-Time

WORK LOCATION: Must be local to the (HTA) DLS (Dallas, TX) or CGO (Schaumburg, IL) area

WORK STYLE DESIGNATION: Hybrid (+50% Onsite)

WORK STYLE REQUIREMENT: 20 Hours per week Onsite

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Domestic and International

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None

EXPECTED PAY RANGE: $176,262.82 to $242,361.38 annually

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Corporate Strategy plays a key role in supporting the Senior Vice President by leading the development and execution of sustainable corporate strategies and driving crossorganizational alignment. This position is responsible for translating corporate direction into actionable initiatives, fostering strategic relationships with customers, partners, and executive leaders across global subsidiaries, and enabling smooth and effective business operations worldwide.

The Director will serve as a strategic advisor to senior management, ensuring organizational readiness for future growth and supporting continuous improvement of business foundations and governance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the formulation and execution of corporate policies and corporate strategy in close collaboration with the CEO, COO, Senior Vice President, and Business Unit leaders.

  • Lead or participate in key strategic projects in the Semiconductor, Healthcare, and Environment sectors to strengthen business competitiveness and drive execution.

  • Promote management and business process improvements to reinforce the company's management foundation and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Facilitate communication and relationship-building with customers, partners, and global subsidiaries to support smooth global business operations.

  • Accelerate collaboration with the Hitachi Group to drive further growth.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or other related disciplines.

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese.

  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of company and business.

  • Understanding of industry, market, and customers to make right corporate strategy, direction, and judgement.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ten (10) years of managerial experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Substantial and proven experience in business strategy development within a large organization or consultancy environment.

  • Experience working with senior management on strategic issues, with the ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities arising from legal, technological, and market changes and translate them into coherent strategies.

  • Deep understanding of Hitachi's business policies and strategies.

  • Experience executing cross-border or international projects.

  • Strong understanding of existing businesses and new business development, aligned with the company's goals and direction.

  • Travel Requirement: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by business needs.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS/SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of organizational dynamics, business processes, and internal policies.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact proactively with stakeholders including top and senior management, executives, managers, employees, customers, vendors, and public/private agencies.

  • Ability to work effectively as a member of the company's leadership team.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
