Working under the direction of the SCS Remote Monitoring and Controls (RMC) Project, Regional, or Business Manager, the Systems Integrator will implement complex technology solutions for clients. You will integrate multiple different technologies together into one seamless package to meet our clients' needs. This position can be remote, and the preference is for this person to be based in South Florida, Northern California, or in Pennsylvania. You can expect travel with overnight stays and occasional site visits and fieldwork.



How you can make an impact

You will report administratively to your assigned supervisor and receive work assignments and direction from RMC Management. Collaboration is a key aspect, as the role involves working closely with Controls Specialists and Developers or Software Engineers on various projects. Depending on the needs of each assignment, you may work independently or as part of a team with other staff members to complete tasks efficiently.

Essential duties

    Support RMC Management in combining technologies to create, integrate, troubleshoot and implement overall technology solutions for our clients. These technology solutions include: SCADA systems, Control systems, GIS systems and Drone (UAV)s.
  • Assist RMC Management with project delivery.
  • Provide quotes for technology solutions.
  • Support business development efforts.
  • Exceed client expectations.
  • Provide documentation for all project work.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology developments in the field.
  • Coordinate field conditions for assigned projects.
  • Participate in Health and Safety regular meetings and make sure that Health and Safety standards are followed by on-site staff and sub-contractors.
  • Mentor junior staff members.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Control systems design and troubleshooting.
  • Installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting control panels, sensors, conduit, and wiring in the field (preferably outdoor locations).
  • Ethernet networking and radios.
  • PLC and HMI programming: Automation Direct Productivity and DL series PLCs, Automation Direct Cmore HMIs, Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs
  • SCADA systems and troubleshooting: Inductive Automation's Ignition software.
    • Industrial automation communication protocols: EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP.
    • Python programming.
    • Database scripting and setup.
  • Knowledge of AWS servers.
  • Ability to comprehend and implement detailed project specifications, adapt to different technologies, and simultaneously work on multiple projects.

Other Qualifications

  • 3 years of related experience required. Experience working on landfills preferred.
  • Ignition Core Certification preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Data accuracy, clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with other co-workers, departments, or business units.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.


Pay Range

USD $38.00 - USD $58.00 /Hr.
