Position Description Responsible for safely moving, staging, and supplying materials to support efficient manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Uses powered fork trucks to transfer and move material throughout the production floor. Ensures the production lines stocked with material, packaging, etc. Transfers material using the SAP system on the handheld scanner. Locate purchased and manufactured parts using the computer and/or handheld scanning device. Maintains accurate inventory of parts in area. Performs material moving, material handling, and other duties as assigned. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Advises supervisor of irregularities in the job. Responsible for quality of own work. Knowledge of parts, sub-assemblies, etc. must be gained to move material to production work areas. Works with the production line leads and operators regarding priority of parts needed and preparation of changeovers requiring different materials or packaging. Ability to load and unload trucks, as needed. Can communicate with a truck driver regarding paperwork and handling a shipment. Required Education & Qualifications 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse. Acquire and retain fork lift license for standup, sit-down lifts, and others as needed (provided through on-the-job training). Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED required.
