POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Analyst I to join our dynamic and innovative product team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our products. You will work across all IGEN products as a quality champion, gaining valuable experience in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

The preferred location for this role is Appleton, WI; may consider hybrid or remote based on relevancy of candidate experience. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Testing

  • Develop and maintain testing strategies including test plans, test cases, and test results for all IGEN products under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Create and execute test cases for manual and automated testing across all product lines including but not limited to database, API, and application testing.
  • With mentorship from senior team members, contribute to building and maintaining scalableregression test suites.

Business Operations

  • Provide first level of triage on incidents, adding context on business impact and priority level in collaboration with Client Experience.
  • Contribute to business user testing activities and gather sign off on all new product and feature development.
  • Manage release cycle, ensuring all items going to production have completed testing and signoff requirements; communication to stakeholders has occurred; confirm any risks to the Production deploy have been assessed, escalated appropriately, and resolved.
  • Identify user training needs as new features and products are implemented and collaborate with business partners to contribute to training material creation.

Technical Excellence

  • Collaborate with engineers to provide context and support in the resolution of defects by reproducing, documenting impact, executing re-testing, and participating in postmortems for defects.
  • Adhere to and contribute to improvements to testing best practices.
  • Identify and address testing challenges, seeking guidance when needed, and collaborate with the team to find effective solutions.
  • Actively seek opportunities for learning and skill development.

Innovation

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing process, methodologies, tools, and techniques to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of testing efforts.

Collaboration

  • Working with engineers, business partners, and senior QA team members, identify and document the outcomes for each project and assist in creating the appropriate stories needed to complete all technical development.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent Quality Assurance experience.

  • 5+ years experience working as a Quality Assurance Analyst or related role within a product team.

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in creating and executing test cases for manual and automated testing.

  • Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks for both manual and automated testing.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring product quality.

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile, Kanban, and Scrum.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective reporting and documentation.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools as required.

Preferred:

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, or similar tools.

  • Familiarity with multiple programming languages, frameworks, and technologies, specifically .NET, SQL, ReactJS, Node.js, PostMan, and JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Experience with incident management processes and tools.

  • Understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.

  • Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure tools and strategies.
