Alloy Products, a division of Wall Colmonoy uses its state-of-the-art laboratory to create a range of specialized products. We make coatings used to make surfaces more durable. We also manufacture brazing products, which are used to join metal parts together. In addition, we produce innovative tools which are used for various applications in different industries. Our 52,000-square foot facility located in Los Lunas, New Mexico houses a dedicated team of 100+ highly skilled professionals and constantly expands its production capabilities. Our products are globally shipped to customers far and wide.

The IT Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting computer systems, networks, and related technology across the organization. This role provides hands-on technical support to end users, ensures IT systems remain secure and up to date, and helps troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues. The IT Technician plays a key role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly by minimizing downtime and supporting employees with reliable technology.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, service, and maintain computer software, hardware, data networks, telecommunications systems, and related peripheral equipment.
  • Diagnose, assess, and resolve issues with computers, printers, peripherals, and communication hardware and software.
  • Apply software patches and perform hardware upgrades, improvements, and repairs to ensure systems remain current and secure.
  • Monitor and maintain desktop systems, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Provide help desk support and technical assistance to system users; escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, parts, and repair materials.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to resolve IT system, software, or hardware issues as needed.
  • Document hardware failures, repairs, installations, and removals.
  • Maintain documentation related to computer processes, procedures, hardware configurations, and software applications.
  • Deliver basic equipment, system, and IT policy training to employees and end users.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, emerging threats, and industry best practices to improve efficiency, usability, and cybersecurity.



Qualifications and Experience

  • Required

    • Associate degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
    • 2-3 years of experience providing IT support in a business or industrial environment.
    • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, printers, and common business software.
    • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Exposure to Microsoft 365, Teams, or cloud-based applications.


  • Preferred

    • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments.
    • Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN/WAN, switches, cabling, Wi-Fi).
    • Experience with IT asset management and ticketing systems.
    • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.).
