Steptoe LLP seeks a 3rd - 5th year associate to join our International Trade team within the International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice group in our Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have three to five years' experience working in Trade Litigation, which includes all facets of antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before both the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission, as well as judicial appeals of these agencies' determinations. The candidate would also support our Trade Policy practice before various government agencies, including the Office of the United States Trade Representative.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking a high level of responsibility with a practice group that is consistently ranked in Band 1 by Chambers. Our associates work on sophisticated matters and have direct contact with clients. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a solid understanding of the relevant legal environment, persuasive writing abilities, an ability to work well under pressure and a willingness to travel internationally. Candidates with quantitative capabilities, an accounting and/or economics background, and facility with Excel, are preferred. The expected salary for this position is $260,000 - $365,000, depending on experience.

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school as well as active membership and standing in the District of Columbia Bar is required. For consideration, please submit a cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and writing sample.
