Winston-Salem State University ( WSSU) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Case Manager for Mental Health to join our team. This vital role focuses on students' holistic growth and development through support, empowerment, and education. By offering comprehensive support and resources, the Case Manager for Mental Health enhances the student experience within the university community.

The Case Manager assists students in navigating difficult life events, engages in care management planning, crisis situations, and assists on challenges that may impact their ability to be successful. This position provides case management support, including interventions, referrals, and follow-up services, for all cases and especially those of increased complexity. The Case Manager for Mental Health at Winston-Salem State University cultivates the holistic growth and development of students through resilience, empowerment, and education. The selected candidate will be a driving force for students, families, and community members, and collaborates with campus and community partners to holistically support students.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Holistic Support: Cultivate students' holistic growth and development by providing wrap-around support and resources.

  • Crisis Navigation: Assist students in navigating complex life events, mental health crises, and other challenges impacting their success.

  • Student Empowerment: Utilize a student-centered and individualized approach to empower students toward academic and personal success.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with campus and community partners to support students holistically, enhancing their overall university experience.

  • Community Engagement: Foster solid connections by serving as a driving force for students, families, and community members.

  • Co-Curricular Opportunities: Develop and implement co-curricular opportunities that contribute to students' growth and development.
