TITLE: Material Mover B



POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Material Mover is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of spools and carriages between extrusion, work-in-process (WIP), and conversion areas. This role ensures all material movements are properly scanned and reconciled in the IBS system while maintaining organization, FIFO flow, and compliance with safety, security, and quality standards.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Good organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to safely and efficiently move material on a carriage
  • Good communication skills
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Move spools and carriages from extrusion into the WIP area and to conversion machines, including required scanning activities.
  • Ensure all spool and material movements are accurately scanned and recorded in the IBS system.
  • Maintain organization of the WIP area, ensuring proper first-in, first-out (FIFO) material flow.
  • Transport empty spools from the conversion area back to extrusion in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile physical material movements with IBS system transactions and report discrepancies as needed.
  • Comply with all OSHA, MSDS, and C-TPAT regulations, as well as the Minigrip safety program and policies.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and clean work environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and a 5S organizational program.
  • Communicate effectively with extrusion, conversion, and inventory personnel to support production flow.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
