Purpose

This role is a part of the Digital Engagement Team at Texas Development, the central fundraising arm of The University of Texas at Austin. The Senior Digital Fundraising Specialist will work under the direction of the Director of Digital Strategy and Engagement to drive innovation at Texas Development by implementing new marking and donor engagement technologies and executing on digital campaigns including email, online giving pages and other channels. This role will collaborate closely with campus to help them reach their donor acquisition and engagement goals through digital channels. Success in this role will require an ability to be a flexible and dynamic team player that may spend the morning building donor reports and the afternoon brainstorming a digital fundraising campaign.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute digital marketing initiatives including but not limited to web, marketing automation, text, email, social media and various digital advertising campaigns.

  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to support digital initiatives tied to donor acquisition, engagement and stewardship.

  • Work with reporting and analytics teams to measure, track and report on constituent and donor data in a variety of formats including CRM, marketing automation, online giving, and Excel.

  • Write, create, edit and implement emails on behalf on annual giving programs.

  • Collaborate with other teams on planning, execution and measurements of experiments and conversion tests on landing pages, emails, forms, social campaigns, ads and other digital assets.

  • Uphold brand standards for all digital and campaign assets and deploy campaign-related digital assets for campus partners across the university.

  • Monitor changes in digital marketing environment and adopt and advocate for digital best practices across Texas Development.

  • Assist in the documentation, support, and governance of digital marketing initiatives on behalf of donors, alumni and friends of UT Austin.

  • Work, in partnership with the Digital Engagement Team, MarComm, and Annual Giving for campaign and appeal code tracking buildout in Salesforce CRM (SPUR) and translating appeal code process into giving campaigns.

  • Other related functions and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with major coursework in marketing, advertising, communications or related field.

  • One year of related experience in developing and implementing successful digital advertising strategies and/or donor acquisition and engagement campaigns.

  • Experience with social media advertising and the ability to write concise, accurate and compelling donor-centric digital content with clear calls to action.

  • Experience with marketing automation, email development and digital asset management.

  • Highly detail oriented.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with PPC and digital advertising platforms, CRM (Salesforce preferred), marketing automation (Eloqua and/or Marketing Cloud preferred) and SEO/SEM experience.

  • Two or more years of related experience in developing and implementing successful digital advertising strategies and/or donor acquisition and engagement campaigns.

Salary Range

$60,000+ depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
  • Works in standard office conditions, in a shared office environment, with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on-site work is the standard expectation for this position but may be eligible for a Hybrid/Flexible work environment.

  • May require occasional evening, holiday or weekend hours during peak periods and/or events.

  • May require occasional travel may be required primarily for training or event support.

  • Regular and consistent attendance is required in this job.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.

  • This position is based in Austin, Texas.

Retirement Plan Eligibility:

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
