What'sthe Opportunity?

Anchor QEA isseekinga full-time,senior environmentalengineer for ourSyracuse, NYoffice. We are interested in a candidate that is detail-orientated, is a committed team player, andpossessesstrong written and verbal communication skills. This positionwillinclude management of a range ofprojects and tasks,ranging from small sites tolarge complex remediationprojects. Projects are typicallyenvironmental engineering projects involvingsite assessment, remedialdesign,and construction management.Typical project locationsaregenerallyremediationprojects in theNortheast, but assignments may also include work on projects nationwide.Successful candidates will have an opportunity to work on a variety of tasks of differing complexities, both independently and in team environments, learn directly from leaders in the industry, and provide mentoring to our junior staff.

Responsibilities:



  • Project and task management onprojects ranging from small tolarge complex remediation projects, including team assignments and coordination, client interaction, and production of deliverables.


  • Preparation ofwork plans,design documents,and supporting deliverables, including remedial investigation and feasibility study reports.


  • Performing engineering analyses/evaluations for a range of multi-disciplinary projects includingupland remediation,sediment remediation, waterfront development, restoration, and source control projects.


  • Technical writing to support the preparation of sampling and analysis plans, remedial investigation and feasibility study reports, and design documents.


  • Qualitative and quantitative analysis of environmental and engineering data


  • Mentoring and training of junior staff on engineering principles and design, depending on existing experience and level



What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:




  • BS or MS degree in relevant field (e.g., Civil or Environmental Engineering)


  • 15to 20years of relevant work experience


  • Experience withupland andin-water remediation sites, including the planning and implementation of sampling, data analysis, feasibility studies, and remedial design.


  • Experience withNew York StateTechnical Guidance for Site Investigation and Remediation (DER-10).


  • Experience with CERCLAandRCRA regulations and application to various stages of a remediation project.


  • Experience working with regulators (USEPA, USACE, and/or State regulators).


  • Experience with Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) site remediationa plus.


  • Risk assessment experiencea plus.


  • Strong understanding of the application of engineering principles to engineering design.


  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensureor ability obtain within one year


  • ProficiencyinMSOffice.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.


  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (CFR 1910.120)a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:



  • Salary Range: $117,500-$132,000
  • Annual Bonus
  • Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.



Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
