In this fast-paced role, you are responsible for assisting in real-time coordination of driver movements, load assignments, and shift documentation. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our McKee drivers and outside carriers, ensuring that all trip information is accurate, all instructions are monitored, and all documentation meets our high standards for compliance and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Operational Coordination: Assist in dispatching McKee drivers and monitor all specific delivery instructions; assign all trucks, transfers, and "rollers" as needed to maximize fleet utilization.
- Communication Leadership: Serve as the primary communications hub for the assigned shift; answer dispatch phones and resolve real-time driver inquiries or routing issues.
- Data & Documentation: Update trip information in internal systems as it becomes available; coordinate and print all driver trip information, delivery receipts, and backhaul documentation.
- Carrier Management: Assist in properly dispatching and sealing outside carriers, ensuring load security and documentation integrity.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate documentation, record daily call-ins, and update driver attendance and PTO records.
- Shift Integrity: Document all shift activity to ensure a seamless handoff between teams; prepare necessary documents and reports for supervisors.
- System Management: Maintain and update databases and modern Transportation Management Systems (TMS) with high accuracy.
Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with TMS computer systems and relational databases.
- Previous experience in transportation dispatch or logistics data entry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Experience analyzing logistical information to optimize driver routes.
- Experience with Google suite software
