Description

We are seeking a skilled Facility General Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The Facilities General Maintenance Technician supports day-to-day building and workplace operations in our Bloomington IN, headquarters to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment. This role performs a variety of general maintenance and facilities support tasks across office and common areas, contributing to efficient operations and a positive workplace experience. The technician works closely with operations staff, vendors, and contractors to address facility needs, respond to service requests, and support ongoing workplace projects, including office moves and space reconfigurations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including changing ceiling tiles, lightbulbs, and basic repairs.
  • Move, assemble, and reconfigure office furniture and equipment.
  • Assist with office moves, space setups, and workplace reconfigurations.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain breakroom and facility supplies.
  • Receive, inspect, and distribute freight and delivery shipments.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to support maintenance and operational needs.
  • Assist operations teams in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional facility.
  • Identify and report facility issues requiring repair or follow-up.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and facilities support tasks.
  • Capable of lifting, moving, and assembling furniture and equipment.
  • Comfortable performing physical work, including standing, walking, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with operations staff and contractors.
  • Effective communication skills and a service-oriented approach.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and responsive to facility and operational needs.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, high school diploma or GED required.
