Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Developer, Mid to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an advanced level PHP programmer with a strong background in web development and server management. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience and possess advanced knowledge in the following areas:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain PHP-based applications.
  • Upgrade PHP versions and implement security remediation.
  • Manage and optimize databases using MariaDB.
  • Develop and integrate APIs.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization and deployment.
  • Manage AWS services for cloud-based applications.
  • Write and maintain BASH scripts for automation.
  • Use SSH and CLI for Linux server management.
  • Collaborate with the team using JIRA for project management.
  • Utilize Bitbucket and Git for version control.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

The list of responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other education- and experience-related duties that management may deem necessary from time to time.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Requires a BS or equivalent combination of experience in lieu of a degree
  • The Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree is typically required, the company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidates has an Associate's degree, the company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Advanced knowledge of PHP and web development.
  • Proficiency in Linux and server management.
  • Strong experience with SSH, CLI, and BASH scripting.
  • Expertise in Docker and containerization.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services.
  • Experience with MariaDB and database management.
  • Proficient with SQL
  • API development and integration skills.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Bitbucket, Git, and Bamboo.
  • Ability to upgrade PHP versions and implement security measures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • .NET experience - VB, C#, webforms etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and/or healthcare verticals
  • Strong working knowledge of both front end and back-end technology stacks
  • Strong working knowledge of web, application servers such as Apache, WildFly [JBoss], Tomcat, WebLogic, Nginx or WebSphere.
  • Strong working experience with CI/CD pipelines; including technologies such as Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, and others
  • Working knowledge of one or more relational and non-relational databases such as MariaDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Dynamo DB and/or Mongo DB etc.
  • Working knowledge of best practices around branching strategies, versioning
  • AWS Developer and/or Solutions Architect Certification is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of best practices around branching strategies, versioning techniques and other DevOps practices.
  • Working with Multi cloud environments like GCP, Azure and/or AWS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of configuring application code on-premise and cloud infrastructure (such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle Cloud, IBM cloud)
