What We Offer

The Senior Systems Specialist - Engineer (DCS) is primarily responsible for the configuration, administration and lifecycle planning for the PCT production systems. Activities include troubleshooting, support, and development

This is a full-time role that includes competitive pay, annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).

Major Responsibilities

  • Local DCS/SIS/PLC systems administration

  • Standardized DCS configuration

  • Key contact for third party systems maintenance contractors (Puffer, HIMA)

  • Identify, develop and implement systems optimization opportunities within the PCT layer for PCT systems (especially in the areas of alarm management and operations efficiency).

  • Support strategic and capital projects involving PCT systems.

  • Take a lead role in ensuring OT Security practices are followed per Covestro OT Security standards

  • Work closely together with production, IT and PCT engineers to optimize system architecture and lifecycle management

  • Support of production and PCT for local PCT systems. Systems include DCS Systems, HIMA, Local PLC, PI and all related interfaces, etc.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Engineering or related field with at least 10+ years' experience with production control systems OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree with at least 6 years' experience with production control systems

  • The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor orMaster'sdegree in ICA(Instrumentation, Control, Automation) Engineering or related fields

  • Thorough understanding of PCT concepts / practices and good understanding of maintenance and project management

  • Good knowledge of Engineering tools and software - SAP,Meridium

  • Able to work well in a team environment

  • Able to work and act autonomous and assertive

  • Demonstrate self-directed and non-authoritative leadership skills

  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively within the organization, with site management, and externally

  • Excellent computer skills
