An innovative, global-focused manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Production Manager, Steel Construction, to lead and shape the success of its steel fabrication and machining operations in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a high-impact leadership role for a proven production professional who thrives in automotive manufacturing and heavy industrial environments. You will play a critical role in launching, stabilizing, and scaling steel construction operations while driving safety, quality, and productivity at every level.

Hours & Pay



  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Salary: $80,000-$90,000+ annually, dependent on experience
  • Employment Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities



  • Promote and enforce a safety-first culture, escalating violations as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and actively reduce internal defects
  • Meet production volume targets and delivery deadlines with operational flexibility
  • Improve productivity by reducing downtime and optimizing labor and resources
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and 5S practices
  • Optimize internal logistics and reduce in-process inventory
  • Train, schedule, and manage production teams, performance, and leave planning
  • Monitor and reduce unnecessary energy consumption across operations


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in manufacturing operations or a related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing production teams, production planning, and enforcing safety and quality standards
  • Automotive manufacturing and/or heavy industrial experience required
  • Hands-on steel construction experience including cutting, bending, and welding
  • Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience hiring key production roles and mentoring team members
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with production operations software, inventory management systems, and/or ERP platforms
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-cultural team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as required
  • Capability to alternate between sitting and standing throughout the workday
