Job Description

The Soil & Plant Testing Laboratory is seeking three part-time team members to support daily laboratory operations. These positions play an important role in ensuring accurate, timely processing of soil and plant samples submitted by farmers, home owners, vegetable and fruit growers, golf course superintendents, lawn and landscape specialists, Agriculture & Governmental Agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample processing Including but not limited to opening, sorging, labeling, drying, and grinding.
  • Supporting routine sample processes including set-up, extract filtering, and bottle washing.
  • Assisting with sample archiving, disposal preparation, storage, organization and clean-up.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support team needs and laboratory efficiency.
Shift

This position will work approximately 20-25 hours on weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred applicants will be organized, focused, and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00 -$21.17/hour.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
