Position Summary: The Project Controls Analyst II independently supports cost control across multiple projects. This role prepares and maintains cost reports and forecasts with minimal supervision and ensures project data is accurate and actionable. Analysts at this level apply intermediate knowledge of cost principles, identify risks, and provide recommendations that support project decision making.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and maintain cost forecast and reports with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute monthly reporting by integrating schedule and cost data.
  • Maintain change logs and ensure forecast reflect approved or potential changes.
  • Apply financial acumen to evaluate trends and recommend adjustments.
  • Coordinate with project leaders to align schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Provide input on claims or potential delays related to schedule or cost.
  • Recommend improvements to tools, processes, and reporting practices.
  • Actively seek advanced training opportunities and industry certifications.
  • Adhere to established procedures and recommend improvements to scheduling processes.



Qualifications:



  • Associate degree or higher in field relevant to construction, engineering or finance preferred. Years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of requisite education.
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction scheduling or project controls preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Outbuild, or other Gantt charting software required.
  • Procore, Outbuild and Microsoft Project certification and training strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and to recommend and analyze pragmatic solutions for clients.
  • Possesses effective communication skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills specifically within Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Adapts to changing work environments, work priorities and organizational needs.
  • Generates ideas for improvement, takes advantage of opportunities and suggests innovations.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to identify and understand relevant emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described and characterized in this job description.


  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional travel required, approximately 5-10%.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
