Position Summary

Coperion is seeking a skilled Painter/Finisher to join our team at our Whitewater, WI location. This role involves working primarily within a paint booth environment, focusing on preparing, painting, and finishing manufactured parts to ensure high-quality standards. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop diverse skills, including working with bead blasting and hoppers during non-painting periods.

Working Hours

  • Monday - Thursday: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM

  • Friday: 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Work You'll Do

  • Prepare parts by washing and cleaning in the wash booth.

  • Prime parts and perform painting operations within the paint booth according to work instructions.

  • Load and unload parts into/from the paint booth efficiently.

  • Mix and prepare paints to match specified colors based on customer requirements.

  • Maintain consistent quality in painting and finishing work.

  • Accurately report labor and production data in a timely manner.

  • Support and adhere to company policies, including ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.

  • Uphold department standards in housekeeping, attendance, and productivity.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in high-stress or emergency situations, as well as in response to priority changes or new assignments.

  • During times when painting is not available, work in bead blasting and hopper areas to support other manufacturing processes and develop additional skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in painting manufactured parts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of paint preparation, mixing, and application techniques.

  • Experience working with spray machines, brushes, rollers, and coating systems.

  • Familiarity with bead blasting and hopper operations is a plus, with a willingness to learn and support these areas.
