Part Time, 30 hours per week

Summary:
The Cardiac Sonographer Staff Development Specialist role participates in the design and evaluation of the educational plan for all cardiac sonographers. This role will develop and implement an annual competency training program for all Cardiac Sonographers.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience to be eligible for registration as a Cardiac Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required.
  2. License/Certifications: Eligible for registration in Cardiac Sonography through the ARDMS or CCI. Full registration is expected within 12 months of hire. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: Five years of Cardiac Sonography experience in a tertiary or teaching setting required.
