Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented People/HR intern to join our multi-faceted People team. Responsibilities will focus on a wide variety of tasks in support of the Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Total Rewards teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to gain professional, hands-on experience within Human Resources.



Responsibilities

    Support Talent Acquisition operations through interview coordination, conducting reference checks, and managing background check processes.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for all new hires by making sure all paperwork is completed, coordinating IT setup, and assisting with new hire orientations.
  • Represent the summer internship cohort and help lead development initiatives throughout the summer.
  • Support early career and campus branding initiatives.
  • Assist with employee events and engagement initiatives in the Newton, MA office.
  • Assist the Total Rewards and Benefits team with wellness initiatives and compensation planning.
  • Conduct research and provide strategic recommendations based on HR/People trends.
  • Create, file, and update employee records as needed.
  • Complete ad-hoc compliance projects and audits.
  • Support HR/People process improvements and update existing SOPs.
  • Provide reception desk coverage on a rotating basis.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Motivated and eager to learn within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook (calendar management), Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with iCIMS or ADP is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic, professional, resourceful and client-service focused.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week.


Total Rewards

Interns working at least 21 hours per week are eligible to participate in our 401(k) plan.

The estimated compensation range for this position is $23 to $28 per hour. RMR considers several components including an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market data.
