Paid Time Off:

Position Description

Starting Salary Range: $88,000 - $121,000/year; depending on experience

Location: Lynnwood, WA

Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Overview:

The Project Manager leads and oversees multiple fast-paced mechanical construction projects from initial planning through completion. This role involves estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager also supports business development efforts and mentors Project Engineers within the Special Projects Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Take ownership of project estimates, scope development, proposals, safety planning, and execution.
  2. Ensure projects meet or exceed profitability goals.
  3. Apply knowledge of mechanical systems to support cost analysis and value engineering.
  4. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are complete, clearly defined, and aligned with project budgets.
  5. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  6. Review estimates prepared by team members and develop project budgets.
  7. Estimate and negotiate changes to project scope or costs.
  8. Monitor and report labor hours and material expenses.
  9. Coordinate the purchase and delivery of major equipment and subcontracted services.
  10. Maintain a clear understanding of project contracts, scope, and specifications.
  11. Ensure documentation is organized and compliant with company and contractual standards.
  12. Work with field supervisors to plan and schedule project activities.
  13. Promote and ensure jobsite safety in alignment with company safety standards.
  14. Communicate proactively and clearly with all team members.
  15. Demonstrate professionalism and uphold company values.
  16. Maintain consistent and punctual attendance, which is essential to the role.
Position Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to accurately estimate mechanical construction work.
  2. Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  3. Clear understanding of mechanical systems and ability to communicate technical concepts.
  4. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  5. High attention to detail to prevent costly errors.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and OneDrive.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  1. Mentor and supervise project engineers on the special projects team.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. At least one year of experience as a Project Manager or three years as a Project Engineer.
  2. Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  3. Basic understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems.

Required Licensing and Other Certifications:

  1. Maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
