Job Title: Student / Enrollment Coordinator

Location: Franklin, VA 23851

Duration: 03+ months

Pay Rate: $16.00 hr/w2

Work Hours : Monday and Wednesday: 9 am to 5 pm; Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30 am to 5 pm

Job Description:


  • Practical understanding of admissions, enrollment, and student records procedures within a higher education setting.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing, managing, and maintaining student data.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience working with Student Information Systems (SIS) and related databases, or demonstrated ability to learn these systems quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Well-developed organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including high school students, counselors, and college personnel.
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and adherence to FERPA regulations and institutional policies.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience providing administrative, office, or enrollment-related support services.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience in an office or educational environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office technology.


Equipment to Be Used by the Temporary Staffing Professional(s):

  • Computer, scanner, copier, printer, and related office equipment.


Computer Software to Be Used:

  • Microsoft Office applications, Student Information System, and related software.


Mandatory Skills/Certification(s) Requirement: Additional Considerations

  • Experience working in higher education, K-12 education, or a dual enrollment program.
  • Familiarity with VCCS policies, procedures, and student information systems.
  • Experience working directly with high school guidance counselors or academic staff.

Role & Responsibilities:

Enrollment and Verification Support (50%):


  • Review and validate dual enrollment applications, class rosters, and student eligibility documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support admissions-related activities, including student data entry, residency verification, and compliance with VCCS and institutional requirements.
  • Maintain accurate enrollment records within the Student Information System (SIS) and related databases.
  • Identify inconsistencies and collaborate with high schools, students, and internal departments to resolve issues promptly.


Communication and Coordination with High Schools (10%):

  • Deliver clear and professional communication through email, phone, and written correspondence, as assigned.
  • Assist with coordinating student information between the college and high schools to ensure accuracy and compliance, as assigned.


Administrative and Program Support (25%):

  • Provide administrative support to the Dual Enrollment Coordinator, including tasks related to reports and program tracking.
  • Assist in the preparation of enrollment reports, student lists, and other documentation related to the program.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and paper files in accordance with college records retention guidelines.
  • Support program-related meetings, events, and outreach activities as needed.


Customer Service and Student Support (15%):

  • Deliver high-quality customer service to students, parents, high school counselors, faculty, and college staff.
  • Respond to questions regarding dual enrollment processes, admissions status, and enrollment requirements.
  • Exhibit professionalism, patience, and effective problem-solving skills when addressing inquiries or concerns.
  • Ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders involved in the Dual Enrollment Program.
