Accounting Clerk Position Overview Ensure the accurate recording of financial transactions related to daily activity. Maintain financial records, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Primary Responsibilities Accounting Functions a. Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies. b. Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions. c. Prepare and submit reports to outside agencies/auditors as required. d. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. e. Assist with other accounting tasks as needed. Accounts Receivable Functions a. Execute the deposit and accurate recording of checks received by the University. b. Retrieve and coordinate the posting of activity associated with bank accounts. c. Work with the appropriate teams to send and record information related to Unclaimed Property. d. Assist with other accounts receivable tasks as needed. Requirements Education: High school education with related post-high school training/coursework Experience: 1+ years of related experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
