Commercial Plumber / Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Plumber with experience operating heavy equipment, including backhoes, mini excavators, and skid steers, to support commercial construction projects. This role involves installing and maintaining plumbing systems while performing excavation and site work in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.


Essential Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, including water, sewer, storm, and gas lines

  • Perform underground and above-ground plumbing installations on commercial job sites

  • Operate backhoe, mini excavator, and skid steer for trenching, excavation, backfilling, and grading

  • Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications

  • Safely excavate around existing utilities and structures

  • Coordinate with foremen, superintendents, and other trades to meet project schedules

  • Follow all OSHA, trench safety, and company safety standards

  • Inspect equipment daily and perform basic maintenance

  • Maintain productivity, quality, and jobsite cleanliness


Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years commercial plumbing experience

  • Proven experience operating backhoe, mini excavator, and skid steer

  • Knowledge of commercial construction practices and underground utilities

  • Ability to read blueprints and layout work

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Texas plumbing license

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

  • Experience with large-scale commercial projects (healthcare, data centers, industrial, etc.)

  • Trenching and shoring certification
