SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Logistics/Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all daily activities of the Operations Department group. This position coordinates travel arrangements and assists the PM with bids/estimates, ISO procedures and work instructions. The Operations Coordinator will work directly with Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers on daily activities. This position is located in Largo, Maryland and reports directly to the Program Manager, assigned to the Operations Department.
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt (hourly)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide operational planning support and travel coordination to Operations personnel preparing to deploy and during deployment in support of assigned Government and commercial projects.
- Maintain job files and jobs database to include job details, photos, drawings, etc.
- Update employee resumes in database.
- Maintain training matrix by category.
- Keep all training per job title up to date and flag delinquencies.
- Collect data to assist in preparing estimates to clients.
- Coordinate issue of safety gear.
- Collect and verify accuracy of timesheets.
- Assist in updating operational contact database.
- Update receptionist on employee location.
- Maintain vacation matrix.
- Maintain operations calendar with Operations Managers.
- Coordinate pre-job and post job meetings.
- Assist other departments when required.
- Comply with established Phoenix QMS processes and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal training or certification in: hydraulic and mechanical equipment handling systems including cranes and winches; motion compensation and lift systems; maintenance of equipment records and data, including preventive maintenance schedules.
- Four years of field experience, operating, maintaining, and accomplishing field repairs of complex hydraulic power and control systems and diesel engines.
- Two years of field experience, working with the launch and recovery equipment associated with sonar and ROV systems.
- Significant experience in watch standing requirements of search and ROV operations.
- Computer competence in Windows environment.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Understanding of offshore rigging and safety practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work safely in the facility and on board ships at sea.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Ability to travel worldwide on short notice, for indefinite periods of time.
- Ability to walk unassisted and carry 75 pounds.
- Ability to see and/or hear equipment readouts
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check, as required.
