HDR is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer EIT/Coordinator to work as an integral part of the industrial and commercial facilities team in our Denver, Colorado office. The primary role of the Electrical Engineer EIT/Coordinator is to perform electrical engineering and design assignments under the guidance and mentorship of senior staff electrical engineers. Project assignments may include healthcare, higher education, renewable energy systems, water/wastewater, mining, oil & gas, data center/mission-critical, industrial, and institutional campus facilities. Detailed electrical design is the primary focus of this position, with cross-training in Instrumentation & Controls/Automation. This position includes support for new and retrofit electrical and instrumentation & control systems including preparation of electrical diagrams, cable and panel schedules, electrical site plans, facility electrical power and lighting plans, schematic control diagrams, and electrical equipment and materials specifications. The EIT/Coordinator will be involved in performing detailed system calculations, drawing production, project specification editing, and will perform assignments using standard engineering techniques and procedures. The EIT may conduct field investigations and condition assessments, make construction observations, and assist in startup and commissioning of new and modified systems. The EIT/Coordinator will participate in portions of the engineering work for a major project, or several smaller but complex projects within the specific discipline. Project assignments are expected to be primarily in the Colorado/Rocky Mountain area, although assignment to projects located in other geographies is possible. Occasional short-term travel (typically 1-5 days) is necessary. Longer term (several weeks) assignments may be required infrequently on project assignments Preferred Qualifications:
