Application Window Open date: January 23, 2026 Next review date: Saturday, Feb 7, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Jul 23, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Junior Specialist- Clelland Lab Junior Specialist position is open for the Clelland Lab at the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences. The goal of the Clelland lab is to develop novel therapies for neurodegenerative diseases including dementias and ALS. Projects are focused on basic mechanisms of disease and CRISPR gene editing in iPSCs, and iPSC-derived neurons, astrocytes and microglia. We work with our close collaborators at the UC Berkeley Innovative Genomics Institute. An exceptional candidate will design their own experiments, lead an aspect of a larger project independently, develop new ideas, be familiar with the literature, present at lab meetings, and participate in procurement of funds, where appropriate. Additionally, the specialist will be expected to assist with managing day-to-day lab operations, perform general lab duties and be a positive lab citizen.
